Non-combustible fire protection panel for shipbuilding
Grenamat A / A light are non-combustible fire protection panels made of vermiculite, certified for shipbuilding according to MED. The panels are made of the naturally occurring raw material vermiculite and can withstand temperatures of up to 1200 °C. Grenamat A / A light is used as non-combustible panels especially in shipbuilding. They serve as a covering for the actual ship's structure to protect it from fire damage. Other possible applications for Grenamat A / A light panels include decorative wall or ceiling panelling and in furniture construction.
A positive property of the vermiculite board is that a good sound-absorbing effect can be achieved due to the open-pored structure. In addition, the panels have a positive effect in terms of thermal conductivity. The panels can be processed without any problems using standard tools and woodworking machines.
